The article presents information on the discovery of a masonry tomb at a necropolis outside the Porta Sarno gates in the ancient city of Pompeii during an excavation by an international team of researchers, led by archaeologist Llorenc Alapont of the European University of Valencia. Topics discussed include a brief history of Pompeii and the burial customs in the city, the design of the tomb's exterior, and the inscription of the name of the deceased. |
