Description: Wild leafy vegetables are an important source of day-to-day nutrient needs in tribal and rural areas. They consume several types of wild plants and their leaves. Most of such plants are unexplored, and we need to document them to create livelihood options and fight against food problems. Senna tora, a shrub of the Fabaceae family, is a wild plant consumed by the Santhal tribe in India. It has not only food but also medicinal values. It could be developed as a future nutraceutical.
