Abstract: As automation levels increase, the complexity of automated vehicle systems increases, both in terms of functional parts and related hardware and software components. Fuzzy sets have been widely utilized in control systems and various other applications since their inception. Management of autonomous cars is one example. Therefore, it seems difficult for a novice timer to have a thorough knowledge of the autonomous navigation issue. To accomplish this, this article gives a complete introduction to intelligent transportation systems as well as an insightful examination of autonomous systems and their significant challenges. More consideration was given to fuzzy controllers because of their effectiveness in simplifying and boosting an autonomous vehicle system's capacity to prevent collisions. These publications are divided into three categories based on the mode of transport: unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Lastly, some difficult topics and improvements are offered based on the studies cited. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
